Biking Destinations in North Wales
As one of the best regions for cycling in North Wales, and one which attracts cyclists from all over the country, there are some definite ‘must go to’ cycling destinations in Conwy.
Betws y Coed at the gateway to Snowdonia, and Llyn Brenig at the heart of the Hiraethog moors are well known biking destinations, each with easy access to some of the most popular cycling routes and mountain biking centres in North Wales, such as the Alwen Trail, Penmachno Trail, Brenig Trail and Marin Trail, as well as being within easy striking distance of the Coed y Brenin Centre with its mountain biking trails for bikers of all levels and fitness, and the tricky Antur Stiniog downhill biking trail.
You’ll find a good selection of places to stay in Conwy County to suit all budgets and tastes and not to mention lots of places to eat, from cafes to restaurants, where you can relax and re-charge your batteries before getting back on the saddle. If you feel like a break from cycling, there are plenty of things to see and do – from castles to canoeing – and of course a wide range of events taking place throughout the year.
