A long sandy beach with a promenade. Penmaenmawr looks out onto the Menai Straits and its many facilities make it a popular family resort. There are landscaped terraces, flower borders and grassed areas, a cafeteria, amusement arcades and beach chalets for hire. Children have access to an outdoor paddling pool and play area. There's also windsurfing, sailing and canoeing.
Situated where the foot of the mountains meet the sea, and looking out to Puffin Island and Anglesey, this beach is in a beautiful setting.
Take in the views and the sea air with a stroll along the promenade, where there is also a skate park for the children (and the young at heart!). There is a local sailing club and watersports at this beach include windsurfing, sailing and canoeing.
